I can't even begin to describe the views we saw. The maps that showed the roads looked like a kids doodling, zig zags with random curves thrown in. Two-way streets in Italy parrellal to the lake where a single car can barely pass through. Estates from the 18th century overlooking gorgeous bodies of water. Mountain roads, where one wrong move can send your car rolling miles down the side of the mountain.
We took two cars, a passat diesel wagon as our filming car, and the STI, as the race car.
We dedicated the entire day to driving and filming. We drove so much that at the end of our day, we had grown sick of curves. I have alot of amazing footage, from which I will create a movie, but that will come later.
We had intended on driving back to Germany that same day, to drop off the STI and pick up Areg and Tino from Zurich the following morning, but it was simply impossible. By 11pm we were still in Switzerland, in a massive rain storm, driving from one mountain pass to another. STRAIGHT ROADS DID NOT EXIST. We decided to stay in a hotel in a small town called Kublis, and drive the following morning to pick up Areg and Tino from Zurich.
The following are some photos of that day.
